Control

It is another subtle way to get power over people.
Control

Thank you for your prayers.

Witchcraft
is the desire for power over other people
through
manipulation
to control
in order to dominate.
This desire starts out as human desire,
but becomes spiritual.
And swiftly,
manipulation
crosses from the realm of the true
to the realm of the forbidden.

People get attracted to witchcraft
because they themselves feel weak and powerless.
This is why those who
embrace a victim mentality
can be so manipulative and controlling.
And why so many do get into witchcraft.

This is why many get drawn into
what sounds like Christian prayer at first,
but eventually becomes
cursing.
Anytime you speak over someone
or something
with evil intent
for harm
you are cursing.
It is another subtle way to get power over people.

The opposite of witchcraft
is surrender.
"I surrender Jesus to your will."
Let it be to me according to your word.
Not my word.
Not my vision.
Not my gifts and abilities.
Not my destiny.
Yours.

It is not about you.

Are you starting to see
that witchcraft is just narcissism?
Narcissists want to control and have power over other people
to meet their own need for
validation and worth.
We live in a narcissistic age
and many people think
that being a Christian is all about them.
It's not.
It is all about Jesus.
It is all about letting God be in control.
It means I can't fix it.

This series on Witchcraft
is almost over.
Some of you reading
may be disappointed that
I didn't talk about spiritual warfare.

I am talking about spiritual warfare.
The most powerful
spiritual warfare
is becoming a disciple of Jesus
and then helping others become disciples too.
That means
surrendering to God.
It means learning to listen to his voice.
It means walking in humble obedience.
It means loving other people,
doing unto others
the things you wish they would do to you.
It means blessing and not cursing.

When you let go
and allow God to be in charge,
you are not in danger of the power of witchcraft in the church.

God,
grant me the serenity
to accept the things I cannot change,
the courage to change the things I can,
and the wisdom to know the difference.

He Never fails,
