Flatlined.
Thank you for your prayers.
When you have a promise from God
you are able to keep going
even though difficulties.
In 2019 God promised
that when the Friday email
reached 1000 subscribers,
it would launch the momentum
we have been praying for:
1 million sanctified, fearless artists.
The past few years were very hard.
As you can see from the image,
the Friday email flatlined for YEARS.
And whenever you see a flatline online,
that means the algorithm
or a bot
is working against you.
In the hospital
a flatline means the patient is dead.
I knew my work wasn't dead,
something else was going on.
Many creative people think they are failing
because they seem to have hit a wall.
You didn't hit a wall,
you are trusting platforms and systems
designed to control you
or manipulate you.
Substack was picking winners and losers.
After several attempts to fix things, I gave up.
It was very discouraging.
In April I nearly quit doing the Friday email.
And then I found an old journal,
and rediscovered that I have a promise from God.
The Friday email seemed dead,
but it is the third day,
and this email is rising again.
I have moved to Ghost, and we now own the platform.
If you were a paid subscriber on Substack,
thank you.
Your subscription has been transferred here.
We are returning to our original model,
keeping the teaching and resources free.
Each month I send out a printed card to our prayer team
and those who support us financially.
If you want to get this card in the mail,
FIRST CLASS with a STAMP!
then give to Belonging House International.
We are also going to be producing a publication
six times a year
with stories of how God is providing,
teaching,
and encouraging those who have made the
Belonging House Commitment.
Would you mind helping me out?
Would you mind replying to this email with the words
"fear not."
It will help delivery.
We believe teaching artists and creative people
is important
because when you hear from God,
you are given a promise that will keep you going.
Keep going.
He Never Fails,
Christ
