Free Tiramisu
It's the end of summer, and I took a few days off.
Last weekend our board members Joe and Rachel hung out with me in New York.

And here are some thoughts on my last trip to New York.
I Heart New York.
Like the big girl
with that little tattoo
intended to be a beauty mark.
More
slosh
than jiggle.
You made me look.
I Heart New York.
Like the groomed and gorgeous
gay couple,
in the sweaty subway.
Tight, taught, toned
and quarrel.
Holding their little yorkie
named
"Killer."
I Heart New York.
Like those nose rings
big and small.
They say
I am a radical revolutionary
upsetting the patriarchy,
just like
all those
pigs
and
cattle
do.
I Heart New York.
Like the clouds of the
devil's lettuce
wafting through
Hell's Kitchen
that gets the Salvation Army Officer
high
before he reaches
Times Square.
I Heart New York.
Like the
Costa Rican
Restaurant manager
who misses his family
and just needed to talk.
He is a French teacher,
slinging pizzas.
Free Tiramisu.
I heart New York.

Back to normal next week.
