Never Quit. 20 years.
Thank you for your prayers.
It was my birthday.
I was very depressed.
A friend said
"Let's go for a ride."
We went out into the countryside,
and came upon a gothic church
in the middle of Ohio.
I went in.
And I had an encounter with God.
It was the follow up
to my encounter with an angel a month earlier.
And that encounter
became Belonging House International.
I wish I could say it was all happily every after.
It wasn't.
It was challenging.
About every six months
I bump up against the ministry machine.
"What do you mean you don't raise money?'
"How is this supposed to grow when you aren't online?"
"All you need is someone to show you how it's done."
I know how it's done.
Once upon a time
it was my job.
Big conferences, four times a year,
fundraising and marketing
for the American Red Cross and the United Way
and a few non-profits.
I know how to shake people down for money
and how to build a ministry machine.
I did it.
Many people do not understand
that when you meet Jesus
and hear him and get a taste of heaven
it ruins you
for
everything else.
And when you get a taste of freedom,
you want more.
You will take any risk,
and go down any path,
to follow the One
who wants you to be completely free,
and completely his.
Jesus wants to be your friend.
Thanks for letting me show you
how I became his friend.
The stuff I teach works.
This Sunday we will be celebrating Twenty-years on Zoom.
Thanks be to God.
He Never Fails,
Christ
