Sometimes you read disturbing things online.
I read this quote a few days ago:

"A cook and a shepherd
**do not share the same view of a sheep."**

That's from Clement of Alexandria,
and it illustrates what Jesus described.
There are shepherds
**and there are hirelings.**
And Ezekiel said that same thing,
woe to the shepherds who eat the sheep.

Twenty years ago
part of the call to raise up artists
was this direction:
**I am going to show you a new way to do ministry.**

When I was trained
in the 1990's
the "seeker church"
program model
was on the rise.
It has been devastating.
People got tired of being "what's for dinner."

God called me out of all that,
and into a coffee shop.
I have met a lot of people who are done with church.

And so was I.

In 2020
**I started a church by accident.**
I didn't want to,
but it kept going.
And I tried to quit several times.
God said "don't quit, no matter what happens."
He said it would be a little church
**with a global impact.**
And after God said "don't quit,"
it got really hard.

Sometimes
the biggest testimony
**is a quiet one.**
We kept going
through a lot of difficulties.
Sadly, a lot of trouble was caused by people
who keep telling me,
"You know,
you are doing this all wrong.
That's not how you cook lamb."

I am not cooking sheep,
I am feeding them.
Our teaching from Sundays
reaches dozens of nations.
It's not my ministry,
it is the call of God
to raise up a throne for Jesus.
Cooking mutton chops
was never mentioned.

I hear the same thing again and again.
"I go to a church that has a great program
but there is no teaching.
I listen to you every week because of the teaching."

You can watch a cooking show
**or you can sit down to a banquet.**

The world is rapidly changing,
and last Sunday we saw a church overrun
by barbarians.

**The House of Artisans is here if you need to be fed.**

God is calling an army of artists
in a time of war and transition.
You cannot do it the old way,
and you cannot do it alone.
Come get connected.

The Daily Prayer Furnace happens
Monday to Friday
and the House of Artisans meets on
Sundays at 1:00pm ET.
**Both use the Zoom link below.**

Don't worry, I won't eat you.

He Never Fails,
